My Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Synopsis
Rosie and Alex are destined for
one another, and everyone seems to know it but them. Best friends since
childhood, their relationship gets closer by the day, until Alex gets the news
that his family is leaving Dublin and moving to Boston. At 17, Rosie and Alex
have just started to see each other in a more romantic light. Devastated, the
two make plans for Rosie to apply to colleges in the U.S.
She gets into Boston University,
Alex gets into Harvard, and everything is falling into place, when on the eve
of her departure, Rosie gets news that will change their lives forever: She's
pregnant by a boy she'd gone out with while on the rebound from Alex.
Her dreams for college, Alex, and
a glamorous career dashed, Rosie stays in Dublin to become a single mother,
while Alex pursues a medical career and a new love in Boston. But destiny is a
funny thing, and in this novel, structured as a series of clever e-mails,
letters, notes, and a trail of missed opportunities, Alex and Rosie find out
that fate isn't done with them yet.

First of all I just want to say hellooooooooooooo blog! It’s been weeks since the last time I seen you, well mostly because I am a freshman now in college and having a hard time in reading books because of school works, but thank God this week I get the time to read Love, Rose and finish it. I’m so excited to review this book so here we go!
This book follows the story of
two people who known each other since they were little, and like normal people
do, they grow up and go in separate ways. But with the use of phones, letters
and emails, they still contact each other. But could this work out? This novel will show you that through the
years, some feelings don’t fade out that easily.
What I love about this book is
the format, it’s written through the form of emails, messages and letters. It
became enjoyable to read because of that. And how the story goes, I really
thought at first that this novel will be one of those cliché love stories that
get on my nerves, but gladly it turned out to be different in such a way which
is very nice.
It’s like their story is utterly
real. I can feel that it can really happen, and right now I really want a story
like Rosie and Alex. I want a girl to be my bestest friend in the world and be
the reason of the ‘silence’. Gods, this book is really frustrating. I was like
halfway through the book when I read that whole page then –BAM I’m in the edge
of stabbing Ahern for writing this novel; I want to scream at her “WHY? I know
life isn’t good but why?!”
I almost cried at the ending of
this novel, it was simple and romantic; the best ending for this book. That
shows how really good this book is! What else? Oh, the déjà vu that happened in
the book! Ha! That’s clever, ten thumbs up!
This novel of hers is very
ambitious; she definitely nailed writing this work of art. *hands down*
I highly recommend this book to
any bookworms out there, if you’re out of titles to read. You definitely need
to check this one out! Worth your time, I promise you.
